This morning my backyard was a lively flurry of little wings and busy
chirping.
Silvereye's had flown in to do a little pest control throughout my
veggie garden!
Somehow I was able to quietly walk through to the back fence and take a few close up shots before a warning call was sounded and the little troops re-treated into the forest.
This is the closest I've ever been to one and it was such a lovely sight to watch the
Silvereye's enjoy
themselves feeding and
playing through the garden.

ReplyDeleteIt's very enjoyable to watch little birds and listen to them talking to each other. I've noticed that if you approach slowly and quietly Silvereyes, NH Honeyeaters and Grey Fantails may let you get very close...
